Epic Fail. Epic Gospel

This is a great idea for a conference from JR Briggs: "God’s grace has been sufficient for me on the journey in ministry. God has worked mightily, despite my efforts. He’s working at times – even in spite of me."

Challes is on to the same thing, citing Sproul: For a Christian to be a Christian, he must first be a sinner. Being a sinner is a prerequisite for being a church member. The Christian church is one of the few organizations in the world that requires a public acknowledgement of sin as a condition for membership. In one sense the church has fewer hypocrites than any institution because by definition the church is a haven for sinners.

  1. It's an interesting perspective to look at it I guess!

  2. Being able to show our weaknesses is vital otherwise we all fake that we can do the Christian life rather than showing that it's only by the grace of our God.
